Water Risk Assessment
The Company recognizes the importance of environmental management and operates in full compliance with ISO 14001:2015 standards, covering 100% of its operations in Buriram Province. With particular focus on water management, the Company has conducted a comprehensive water risk assessment using the World Resources Institute’s (WRI) Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas and established corresponding risk mitigation measures. The assessment identified that the Company’s operating site, located in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, covering 200 rai (32 hectares), is situated entirely (100%) within an area classified as “Extremely High” water stress. In response, the Company has set clear water management objectives, including enhancing water use efficiency through the “4Rs” strategy and strengthening water security by constructing seasonal rainwater storage ponds to serve as alternative surface water sources for production and on-site consumption. This initiative ensures that water use does not compete with community resources.
Currently, the Company operates three rainwater storage ponds with a total capacity of 326,368 cubic meters, along with two treated-water ponds with a combined capacity of 89,361 cubic meters. All treated water is fully reused in production processes, supporting the Company’s long-term goal of achieving zero wastewater discharge into public water bodies. These measures have enabled uninterrupted operations without water shortage risks, with 100% of the operational area in Buriram Province under effective water management.
